The Faculty of Education Sciences and Psychology at the University of Latvia is pleased to invite future teachers to take part in STEAMinSDGs Day, an interactive event dedicated to exploring how STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) can support the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in schools in the framework of KA220-SCH –Cooperation partnerships in school education project “Encouraging Students to Enhance Their STEAM Skills in Order to Address Real-World SDG-Related Challenges” (STEAMinSDGs).
The event will take place on 8 November 2025 in MSTeams, and is designed for two groups of future teachers of professional study programme “Teacher”:
Social Studies and History teacher students
Future teachers from various fields with a Social Studies module
The programme is divided into two identical sessions.

1st session (Social Studies and History Teachers)
09:00 – Arrival, introduction to the agenda, icebreaker, virtual coffee break
09:15 – 09:45 – Introduction to the STEAMinSDGs project, platform, and developed materials
09:45 – 10:45 – Co-creation workshop:
Action Plan selection
- Joint review and SWOT analysis
- Poster development – “Action Plan in our schools”
10:45 – 11:45 – Presentations and discussions
11:45 – 12:00 – Closing reflections: insights on how project results can be applied in schools
2nd session (Social Studies Teachers)
12:30 – Arrival, introduction to the agenda, icebreaker, virtual coffee break
12:45 – 13:15 – Introduction to the STEAMinSDGs project, platform, and developed materials
13:15 – 14:15 – Co-creation workshop:
