
Ahlem Ammar is a professor in the Department of Didactics, specializing in instructed second language acquisition. Her research focuses on form-focused instruction, exploring both proactive and reactive approaches, and examining their relationship to learner and language variables.
As Vice-Dean and Dean, she has developed a special interests in the evaluation and development of teacher training programmes. Over the past five years, she has led the reform of more than 40 graduate and undergraduate programmes. Currently, she is spearheading a major reform of Tunisia's teacher training programs, supported by substantial funding from UNICEF.
