Prof. Baiba Martinsone leads psychological research courses and supervised internships in clinical and school psychology in the master's degree program. She has developed study courses on social-emotional learning at all levels of teacher education. Baiba supervises doctoral dissertations in clinical and developmental psychology. Her research interests within clinical and educational psychology include Social-emotional learning (SEL), promoting mental health and wellbeing in schools, development and evaluation of universal prevention programs, assessment of school climate and consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as teachers' well-being and young people's eco-anxiety.

Theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of clinical psychology, competence to conduct theoretical and practical research in different environments, using different research methods, as well as in cooperation with other scientific fields. Management of national and international research initiatives. Development, implementation and evaluation of preventive programs for the promotion of well-being and mental health, social-emotional learning in the educational environment; school climate, belonging, parental involvement, coherence of school and family cultures. Theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of educational psychology, competence to conduct theoretical and practical research in different environments, using different research methods, as well as in cooperation with other scientific fields.
