The Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Education, Psychology and Art of the University of Latvia implements academic and professional study programs at the bachelor's, master's and doctoral level. Various and interesting teaching methods are used during the studies, they give an opportunity to better understand and get to know oneself and others, to solve problems at different levels, to promote psychological well-being for oneself and others.
The teaching staff of the Department of Psychology stands out with their theoretical knowledge, research skills, academic experience, as well as with many years of experience and expertise in various fields of professional activity related to psychology - psychological counseling, group management, psychotherapy and psychological assessment. Faculty members of the Department of Psychology have been educated at Stockholm University, the University of Bergen, the University of Ostrobothnia, Harvard University, the University of Latvia, etc. The department implements international and national scale scientific projects in cooperation with other universities, research institutions and entrepreneurs.

Process for Receiving Translated and Adapted Psychological Instruments
- Find the Instrument:
Search for the required instrument in the database of translated and adapted tools. Review the instrument’s description file for details on its psychometric properties and usage restrictions. - Complete and E-sign the Application:
Download, fill out, and electronically sign the application form, specifying up to three instruments or versions. All requested instruments must be listed in a single application. - Upload the Signed Application:
Upload your signed application using the provided link. Ensure the file name follows the required format (e.g., “NameSurnameInstrumentrequestapplication_YEAR”). - Fill Out the Online Questionnaire:
Complete the online questionnaire with details about yourself and the requested instruments, including their database numbers, names, and usage restriction categories.
Processing Time:
If all steps are completed correctly, the requested instruments will be sent to your email within approximately two weeks.
Usage Restrictions:
Instruments may have specific usage categories:
- A: Free for non-commercial research with proper citation.
- B: Requires permission from the copyright holder.
- C: Use only by qualified individuals or after special training.
- ?: Usage restrictions are unclear; responsibility for clarification lies with the applicant.
